Today. I got really inspired. YouTube was something that i wanted to try for a really long time and i still do. For years i always said to myself “start a blog, see how things go and then maybe YouTube will just come to you. It’s been 3 years now. I don’t feel like blogging has done much for me and i feel like i am failing myself. Losing a huge chunk of followers after stopping for nearly 10 months really was a shock and i was so disappointed that i had thrown all of my hard work down the drain. I want to start doing videos more than anything and whats really holding me back is what people are going to think and say.
I’m always saying don’t care what people think, do your own thing but, I’m really scared. Especially my close friends and family I’m just not sure. I’m asking for your help and opinion on what i should do and what you would like.

The world that we live in can be a scary place for girls growing up. In this age of technology, it can be hard to get away from the media, which can be a negative place full of worrying pressures for girls growing up. Obviously I try to make to make my little corner of the internet a happy and positive place to be. Do I do everything for me? Is every decision I make for me? Let alone when you are growing up and you feel the pressures of making decisions is even harder and your surrounded by people telling you what it is you probably should be doing.
There are some things in life you can prepare for and others, hit you like a ton of bricks. For some reason either no one wants you to feel anything or they want you to feel everything. It took me one of the worst times in my life to realise life’s biggest lesson. Things are going to happen that you don’t think you can handle but in the end, the only person that can get you through something is yourself.

I really wanted to talk more about some of my current top 5 favourites in different makeup/beauty categories and to start off with I thought i’d do my top 5 drugstore lipsticks. I actually found this to be quite hard. It’s always been my little guilty pleasure that I would save my money on. Lipstick is something I know I own way too much of.
As you can see, I have included 3 standard lipstick types and 2 liquid lipsticks.
The liquid lipstick is a Sleek Matte Me, I love these as a little alternative to an ordinary lipstick as I find they are a lot more long lasting. I also love the colour of this, although they are a little more tricky to apply, definitely not on-the-go application.
Next up are the Kate Moss for Rimmel lipsticks, by far my favourite drugstore lipstick on the shelves. I have shown one in dark red and bright red. As the colour range is pretty big nowadays and these two are my top picks. It’s my staple red. I love the longevity, the consistency and the colour payoff is amazing! If you don’t have a huge budget to be buying really vibrant colours and you want good quality without the high end price tag, check these out!
Next is the essence Liquid Lip. The colour is quite dramatic as a lipstick and it’s in a more shiny formula, it’s still very pretty. It leaves the lips looking really fresh and hydrated. The lasting power of this one is not as long, but it’s by far the easiest to apply on the go.
What drugstore lipsticks are your favourites? Am I missing out on any good ones?
Love Katie ♥
